range of carpets - Delivery Terms
Delivery of carpets are scheduled between 3 - 7 working
days throughout the UK. Once the delivery company receive
the consignment they will arrange a day for a delivery
to take place.
In order
for a delivery to be carried out we must ensure that
access is available to the property as the vehicles
used are either 3.5, 7.5 or 18 ton. the information
we require is as follows.
- Do you
live in a cul de sac or dead end road?
- Is there room for a lorry to manoeuvre?
- Is the easy parking available (Lorry cannot be left
un-attended)?
- Is there someone available to help offload the carpet
(Some carpets can be heavy)?
- Does the property have adequate ground floor access
(will the carpet fit in the property)?
- Where can the carpet be left i.e. Garage, Hallway
?
- Do you have your own fitter or would you like us to
recommend one ?
Carpets
will not be left outside a property at anytime and a
signature is required for all deliveries.
In the
case where the carriers attempt a delivery but unable
to drop off, notification of a failed delivery will
be posted through the door and a charge of £60+vat
will be levied. In the case of a failed delivery it
may take upto 7 days for a redelivery can be arranged.
The above
information is based on ground floor delivery only and
the couriers will not be responsible for lifting upstairs
as it is against company policy.
Delivery
is charged at £60 + VAT for the carpet, Additional
delivery charges may be incurred for accssories i.e.
Carpet Grippers, Underlay, Tape, etc.
Drivers
can ring 1-2 hours before delivery to ensure someone
is available to take delivery.
